After studying early music at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, soprano Kerstin Dietl’s great passion is the music of the Baroque. Her lessons with Gemma Bertagnolli and Peter Kooij were further deepened by working with Dorothee Mields, Paul Agnew and Sophie Daneman, as well as master classes with Emma Kirkby and Gerd Türk. Her solo career has already brought the young singer together with ensembles such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Bremer Philharmoniker, the Hathor Consort, and the Ricercar Consort. She has sung under Thomas Hengelbrock, Alondra de la Parra, Olof Boman, Ketil Haugsand, Florian Ludwig and Philippe Pierlot, among others.
In addition to her solistic work, she is an enthusiastic ensemble singer and part of the Collegium Vocale Gent (Philippe Herreweghe) and the Balthasar Neumann Choir (Thomas Hengelbrock).
